	Magnetic creates Heart Stopping special FX for Guidant.




	Congratulations are in order for Morgan with the success of his award winning film Super Size M*e


	To motivate their sales force, Guidant, a leader in the pacemaker marketplace, moved to the virtual world of The Matrix Reloaded. Creative Business Communications, Heather Winters, did a fabulous job of producing this mini epic. Director, Morgan Spurlock*, recreated the matrix as the device for the 6 module, 15 minute presentation. Magnetic Post Production’s Joe Romano was the creative editor and After Effects animator and Harry Douglas did the online, compositing and audio mix on Avid Symphony. So! Animation morphed the flying bullets into pacemakers and created animated graphic elements. Morgan Winters composed the music and created the sound Fx. Special thanks to Jason the King of FTP.

Compositing with the Ultimatte Plug-in on Avid Symphony.
It was easy to get the jump motion the director wanted, because the effect was real time (no rendering). Some shots like the computer monitor insert, had either camera movement or vibration, to correct this we used motion tracking, so the keys locked on to the backgrounds motion.

Compositing with the Avid Symphony and After Effects combined.
The trouble with this one was that being shot on its side, we lose Neo entering the frame and the dummy had no legs, so we exported, the rotated, color corrected, Ultimatte with an alpha from the Symphony into After Effects for rotoscoping and motion blur. Then Imported back to Symphony.
