Rob started working at LFR Editorial while still a student at NYU. He took a day off for graduation and then went back to work for nine years: from noisy moviola, to a quiet flatbed, and then into the digital age with the advent of the Avid, Rob learned the craft from the ground up, honing his skills as an editor, acquiring knowledge from three great editors. At that point Rob joined First Edition, working there for five years primarily on commercial spot work, as well as some longer format pieces. In 1997, Rob went freelance, launching Digital Sprocket. His first project was at an ashram in upstate New York. It was a busy, but pleasant way to start his freelance career. |
