Magnetic Post Production tackles major investment firm Warburg Pincus with Terry Tate office linebacker!

In this economy everybody is taking a hit, even executive managing director Joe Landy of Warburg Pincus.
We got laughs in this corporate video parody by re-creating Reebok’s Terry Tate Office Linebacker spot that ran during the Superbowl. Joe Landy was flattened repeatedly by our Terry Tate look-a-like, Howard Tinker.
 Faced with a tight shooting schedule at Warburg’s corporate headquarters, Paul Jacobson of Avatar Productions,  was lit and ready to roll in minutes. Matching the original spot was “a piece of cake” for Paul, adding his own creative touch even as the story boards continuously changed. Stunt coordinator Buddy Nocerino was on hand for Joe’s safety.
In post production, editor Harry Douglas used Sapphire Effects film look with 2:3 pull up and a fair amount of color correction in the Avid Symphony to transform the Beta SP video footage into the pushed film look. Grain and coloration had to match perfectly or you would see variations from the original spot, and as you can see below our results were pretty good. Joe Romano recreated the Reebok graphics for the Warburg project. They were so close to the original we kept confusing them.
